Choose your own freakin' adventure

Right so i've been working on a couple of "choose your own adventure" ideas for a little while now. Here they are:

1. Zombies and friendship

The basic plot is as follows: after pun spouting robots begin infecting people with nanobots (sh i know i know) they're reanimating as hungry hungry zombies. This isn't great for the general population.

The game focuses on the lives of two girls who decide to get the fuck outta dodge together when their town gets hit by the zombies. As the player, you'll be in the shoes of Avis, a quiet, unassuming kid who is the leaderdog/devoted best friend to Lola, who is her helperdog.

From there on the plot branches out. For every choice, there is a story but you can make choices within those stories too.

For example:

The girls run away from their little town. Now they have three choices.

Choice 1 is to hide in Lola's holiday cottage in the woods.
Choice 2 is to try and find other survivors.
Choice 3 is to keep driving, keep on the move.

In choice 1, they may get captured by another group of survivors who've gone feral. Now their choice is to try and fight their way out or escape through different means.

In choice 2, they may find other survivors, only to find that there's a lot of infighting going on. They can ride out the fighting and split off with parts of the group to make their own colony (which comes with its own storyline - how do you govern in such a situation? someone steals food - do you kill him, forgive him or exile him into zombie-filled woods? how will that effect Avis's essential relationship with Lola?).

In choice 3 they have to keep their supplies (especially gas) topped up in a world where these supplies are becoming increasingly rare. What happens when they try to storm an occupied gas station? what if they head back into the city? what if one of them is bitten and they try and hide it?

Basically the idea is, for every action there is a story branching out of it. While they merge and intersect, there are certain variables that take place (for example, raiding an occupied gas station will be a lot easier if you stole a gun in the intro, and if you become the leader of a small group of survivors, a Lola who's been on the road with you and had to deal with the horror of being on the run will be a lot more laid back about Avis's newly established dictatorship than a Lola who's stayed in the relative comfort of the cabin.

The story has fixed events happening in the outside world (army falling back, the capital being taken over, the people forming a larger resistance movement and fighting back, etc) and those form the essential time line the variable stories sit in. There are options to finish the game alone (Lola storming off after you make a dictatorial decision and fighting on opposite sides to you the rest of the story, Lola getting bitten and asking you to kill her, you getting bitten and turning and Lola shooting you (then the player playing as Lola)) and options to finish the game together with your relationship as wrecked or affirmed as events allow. It's...as complicated to plot as you might imagine.

I've got one storyline plotted out and a huge-ass flowchart that I'll put up when it's finished.

I'm mostly considering a call for characters for the big timeline events (there's going to be a "heroic" group taking on the threat and military workers trying to do a good lot of fighting as well as colony people and others). There'll be a lot going on in the background (radio presenters giving news to people outside of safe zones, clashes between looters and the military, ordinary people trying to survive) - any help you could give me w/ piecing things together (even suggesting more story branches!) would be cool!

2. We're on a boat

This one...is long enough that I might have to cut it up into episodes. There's 50,000 words behind it already and a notebook full of ideas.

You're part of a small courier crew in the year 2700. Not the year 3000 because Futurama already did that. You can be one of three characters:

The Captain Captain Leg, a man with an odd and foggy past who is in no way cut out for leadership. He's sort of a prototype of Captain (of Capesize fame) but with a healthy respect for boundaries and much worse at being in charge of a ship.
Naoko Taylor a new hire to the crew and a military plant placed on the ship after they're asked to deliver something classified. Has a BA in in art history and an MFA in espionage.
Jules ex-gang member, ex-meth cook, ex-con and current stockroom supervisor. Has bones of aluminium, a heart of gold and luck of bad. And an anti-violence implant.

The crew of The Albatross are asked to do many things, from taking packages into uncharted space to evacuating planets and getting caught up in the war between humanity and a strange invading force who are running from something sinister that's overtaken their home planet. All the while Leg is searching for the secrets of his odd past, Naoko is trying to get over her dead husband and Jules is hoping against hope that Leg remembers they're a courier crew with no weaponry and not to engage with space pirates-...oh no, he's engaging never mind.

If you'd like a character to make a cameo on The Albatross's rival ship, The Time and Tides as well as military, members of the Earth council and space pirates (or even the ship itself since the crew is pretty bare) I wouldn't mind taking them on!
